Priyanka Shah

Priyanka Shah is a visual artist hailing from Ahmedabad and currently based in Mumbai. She earned her Bachelor's in Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020, with a special focus on sculptor and installation art. Priyanka is the founder of Azula Studios, which operates in both Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Her artistic practice revolves around Formalism, a post-modern art movement that delves into how the formal elements of art, such as size, color, material, and form, impact the viewer's perception. She has created her own unique language of linear and geometric forms.

Priyanka's approach to art is truly holistic, as she considers both the art and the viewers of art as one unit, studying how they influence each other. Her vision for Azula Studios is to engage a broad audience and push the boundaries of art by blending her education at the School of the Art Institute with her Indian heritage and the contributions of the artisans who form the core of the art culture.
